TLUANGANUI LODGE

The half-yearly meeting of the Turannranui Lodge of Druids was held in the* Masonic Hall 'last evening. Bro. J. Sealv, A.D., presided. The half-yearly lulance-sbeet was presented, and showed an increase in _ the funds of the Lodge. The auditors' report was adopted as follows: “We, your auditors, illive the honor to report that we have the statement of receipts and expenditure iii the several -funds of the accompanying balance-sheet for the halfyear ended 19th November, 1908.. and hereby certify to their correctness and accuracy. We are pleased to report that the I‘dance-sheet shows an increase on all the funds; the net profit for the past year amounts to £550 17s lid. Tlie nreached statement shows what great progress the Lodge has made during the past six years; the Lodge funds having nearly doubled during that period. It _is very pi (lising to note that the sick pay for the past year is the lowest since 1901, and this is the first-year that interest earned has paid the sick nay. The sum now invested on mortgage amounts to £3BIO. bringing in a. revenue of £229 7s per annum. In conclusion, we must say that to the secretary and treasurer are due the thanks and confidence of the Lodge for the careful and efficient manner in which the books are kept. All entries are very clear and up-to-date, enabling us as auditors to make n very careful examirition of the Lodge funds without the least difficult?.”

Bro-. Darton, Johnston, and Whinray were nominated for the office of district (representative, hnd the election will take place next Lodge night.
