The following bands have nominated for the North Island Brass Band Association, contest, at Hastings in February. A grade: Taranaki Garrison, Newtown Brass, Gisborne City, Waihi Federal, Nelson. Garrison, "Wellington Garrison, Mornington Brassand Wanganui Garrison. B grade: Pet-one Citizens, Manaia Municipal, Hastings Town,, Feilding Brass, Stratford Municipal, Hawera Borough, and Napier City.
