The Court of Appeal unanimously decided that a trades union is not empowered to levy money to support members of the House of Commons. It refused to suspend an injunction pending an appeal from the decision to the House of Lords.

MOVEMENT TO AMEND THE LAW. KEIR HARDIE’S OPINION. (Received Nov. 30, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30.

Mr. Davis, treasurer of the Trades Union Congress, slates that Parliament will be asked to .-pass an amending Bill authorising unions to support Labor members. He added that the Government would support the Bill.

Mr. Keir Hardio indicated that if the House of Lords did not reverse the decision, then Parliament would be asked to amend the law.
