A MAIL TRAIN ROBBED

A band of robbers attacked the Siberian mail train at Trans-Baikal, and secured 250,000 roubles. Three were killed during a fight with the escort.

At? the annual meeting of the Mount Lyell Company a dividend of 15d and a bonus of 6d per share was declared, payable on December 15th. The net- profits for the half-year were £151,157. The liquid assets show a surplus of £446,646 over liabilities,
