For some time past' tlfo handicapping of Mr J. Chadwick for local meetings, it is. stated, has caused some dissatisfaction among owners of racehorses, and:this feeling {has culminated in the circulation of a- petition to the two local racing .clubs requesting that another handica ppc " bo appointed. The small fields on: the second day of the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s last, meeting were, it is al’eired, the result of the owners’ dissatisfaction at- the manner in whicn the handicapping had been done.
