Sir H. Rawson opened the Local Manufacturers’ Exhibition. From personal experience, ho said he did' not agree with the ideas of some people that Australian-made goods were inferior. The exhibition was a good illustration of the fact that in future Australians would be able to supply nearly everything they required for tlieir_own use.
