AIEETING OF CREDITORS

The first meeting of creditors in the insolvent estate of Joseph Burke, ex-licensee of the Record Reign Hotel, was held at the office of the DeputyOfficial Assignee (Air. J. Coleman) yesterday. Mr. W. A. Rees appeared for the bankrupt, and there were about -a dozen creditors present. All*. Stock moved that the meeting be adjourned for a week as there was a contingent asset in the estate depending -upon t-lie No-liccnse vote, which would make a difference in the assets of about £4OO for the benefit of the creditors.

Air. Rees offered no objection to the adjournment, and admitted that if continuance was carried an additional £4OO was to be paid to the bankrupt for goodwill of the Record Reigii Hotel. '-

The meeting was then adjourned until 2.30 p.in. on Monday next.
