HOLIDAY NOTICE
KING’S BIRTHDAY, NOVEMBER 9
The King’s Birthday, Monday, Norember 9th, 190 S, will be observed bv the Rost and Telegraph Offices as a dose holiday. The following hours will be observed at the Chief Rost Office, Gisborne: — Post- Office. —A close holiday will be observed. The usual despatch of mails up to 6 a.m. will <e made. On Saturday, 7th November, the Rost Office will open from 7 p.m. to 8 p in for delivery of correspondence only. Letter carriers’ delivery from private box wicket from 7 p.m. to S pm. A complete afternoon defivu'y temninicing at 2 p.m. will also bo made. Telegraph Office.-—9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange.—7 a.m. to 11 p.m., as usual.
Money orders and registered letters close one hour, and parcel-post parcels 30 minutes, before the ordinary mail.
