Seymour fell at the first jump, Postboy at tho second, and Confederate at tiie third 7 Placer and Pilot led near the bridge, but on the run to the abattoirs _Placer dropped back third, and Pilot led from Roscommon Boy. Trafalgar led into the straight from Pendil, Royal Scot, and Mazarin. Pendil dashed to the front, and won by one and a quarter lengths, half a length betwen"second and third. Time 2min 71-sec.
