MELBOURNE, Nov. 5. The following is the result of tho Cup Steeplechase, .2 miles: Pilot (Cahill) 1, Placer (AVoodburn) 2, Fiudowrie (Hoyt) 3. Seventeen started. Seymour fell at the first jump, Postboy at tho second, and Confederate at tiie third 7 Placer and Pilot led near the bridge, but on the run to the abattoirs _Placer dropped back third, and Pilot led from Roscommon Boy. Pilot came on and won as ho liked by nearly four lengths from Placer, while Findowrie displaced Roscommon. Boy. Time, 4min 10| sec. THIRD DAY. United Press Association, Copyright. (Received Nor. 5, 7.20 p.m.) FLEMINGTON, Nov. 5. Fine weather again favored the ciub for the third day, beautiful sunshine and a southerly breeze making the conditions pleasant. Ladies congregated in greater numbers than on tlie previous days. The following were tjie results of the racing:— November Hurdle Race, 2 miles: Kia Ora 1, Lady Garrick 2, Red Fly 3. AVon bv a length. Time. 3min 48sec.
Second Nursery Handicap, 6 furlongs : Lady San 1, Imprint 2, Amati 3. An easy win by two lengths.Time, lmin 16sec. Linlithgow Stakes, 1 mile: Pink ’Un 1, lolaire 2, Kerlie 3. Pink : Un came out at half tlie distance, and won by a length and three-quarters. Time, lmin 30(sec. Carnival Handicap, 1( miles: Pendil 1. Citliara 2, Trafalgar 3. Trafalgar led into the straight from Pendil, Royal Scot, and Mazarin. Pendil dashed to the front, and won by one and a quarter lengths, half a length betwen"second and third. Time 2min 71-sec.
