BOWLING.
TCBANGANUI CLUB. There was a large attendance on the green of the Turanganui Club yesterday afternoon. A considerable number of lady spectators were among those present. Tho green played very keen, and a highly enjoyable time was experienced. Four full rink practice games were played, and produced c'oso finishes. Afternoon tea, kindly provided by Mrs. J. J. Martin, was served to members and visitors. Two new members, Messrs J. Maynard and It. Tlielwall, were elected. Entries for tho Club’s handicap fours will close to-morrow afternoon, and it is expected that a number of the games tlierein will take place on Monday, when there is to be a full day’s -play on the green, and aftermoon tea will bo provided. GISBORNE CLUB. There was a large j.'viheriiig of players on the green of the Gisborne Club yesterday afternoon. Two games in the first round of the Handicap Fours were played, besides a number of practice games. The green was in admirable condition, and a Very pleasant afternoon was spent. A general meeting of members was held during the afternoon, when four new members, Messrs W. Townson, W. Samson, 0. AV. Exall, and H. C. Beames, were elected!"
