Okey, Opposition candidate for the Taranaki seat, addressed his first- meeting in New Plymouth, and criticised' the tactics of the Minister in connection with the consideration of the dairy regulations in. the House, hut said the pinpricks had been removed, and the' regulations now only aimed at ensuring clean milk. He supported the Premier in declaring to call for a halt in legislation; the whole session could be devoted' to perfecting Native land: legislation and local government.
