[To the Editor.] Sir,—An announcement has appeared that the. Mayor (Mr W. 1). Lysnar) is to stand on the public platform to. advocate the continuance of the liquor trade of the town.- As a ratepayer, will you kinidily allow me to suggest to his Worship that he should again wear his new bauble, “the mayoral chain,” to add weight to- Ms arguments, for no more fitting use douilcl bo made of the new toy than for it to play its part in increasing the evil reputation for drunkenness that belongs to the town of which Mr Lysnur is Mayor.—l am, etc., “CYNICUiS.”
