For tho corresponding period of last year the amo unit collected was £3345 19s lid. Following was the revenue received last week. Customs duties £893 13s 9d, beer duty £26 I2s, light dues £ll Qj Id, Harbor Board' revenue £l9B Is Id, other receipts 4sq total, £1039 10s lid.

PRODUCE MARKETS

Messrs Midler and Craig report the following prices at their produce sale on Saturday': Chickens 9d to Is 3d, hens Is lid to- 2s Id, rosotere Is 1 lid to 2s 6d, ducks 2 s 2d, butter 8d to Is, eggs Is and Is Id, cabbage and cauliflower plants 6d! bundle, onion plants 3d bundle, new potatoes 4-cl lb, peas 2s 3d peck, leeks Is 7d doz bundles, lettuce Is doz, cabbage 6s sack, lemons and limes 3d doz, walnuts 6d lb. Messrs "Williams and Kettle and Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. will -offer a large number of sheep and cattle at the Matawliero, sale, yards on Thursday next. HORSE SALES. There was a fairly large ntteiictorce at- Messrs Wi-l'limis and Kettle's horse sale on Saturday afternoon. A number of hacks were offered, but bidding was not spirited, and several lots were passed in. Those sold changed hands at from £5 to . v_l2. Mr.' C. Matthews, of Patutahi, oil'eied several of hi© fine Clydesdales, and three fillies which were exhibited at the A. and P. Show were cold at 29 guineas, 40 guineas, and 45 guineas. The champion mare of 1907 and liffiS, Honest Kite, also oanie mder the hammer, but was passed it. at 95 guineas. Amongst other horses offered was the trotting mare Telephone, but she failed to resell 1 *>r ■ wners reserve, and was passed in.

LAND SALS. Messrs "Williams and Kettle held their annual! land sale in the Lowe Street mart on Saturday morning. There was a. large attendance. The first property offered was the Maknraka."and Mangamotio sections, on account of the estate of the late L. D. Nathan. These were in great demand, mud! bidding was very keen, the auctioneer having no trouble in disposing of all the lots, which brought the following prices:—Section 46 (la Or lp), £235, Mr. J.
