ESTATE OF F. J. DELANEY. The .Deputy-Official Assignee- (Mr. J. Coleman) lias received the toll owing statement, filed by Francis Joseph Delaney, of Gisborne, blacksmith, bankrupt:—“l first started business in this district four years ■ago in Port Awanui I was -then a bio to pay my way. My health was not good at Port Awanui with the result that- business full away, and I took a wages job with Mr. 'Williams, at Tuporoa. I was with Mr. T\ illiams for two years and then recommenced businss on my own account at Miatatiitu. I then had £2B m hand. I found rents, carriage of material, and rate of living too high to.-allow of business being profitable. (Besides myself, there were two other blacksmiths at Whatatutu, and competition was accordingly too keen for the size of the place. I gradually fell behind in my payments, and several creditors issued summonses -against me. I avas really forced to give up the business, and caino to Gisborne in February, . since' Avhich. I have been working on wages. 1 have naa to support a number of relations fur a considerable time, .'and bear m?tlical expenses in connection .-witn them. Several of my creditors have continued to press me, and in fairness to- the general bulk of them I hai'c deemed it; advisable to file. The following is the list of unsecured creditorsW.
