Her cargo included 10,000 f- of timber iand a gas engine, .and she brought- »a large mail.. ' _ The Huddart-Parker Co.’s A ictoria ■arrived, from South late on Satin day •afternoon, -and sailed lor Auckland mid Sydney .shortly before midnight. iShe had a very ’large cargo for this•port. • , . , The U.S.'S. Co.’s Talune arrived from Auckland yesterday afternoon, and deft lagiin for South in the evening. The harquentine Pelotas has completed .ballasting, and will sail to-day i : or "Wfoangaroa to load timber 'tor Sydney. On discharge at the latter port she proceeds to Newcastle, .where she will load coal for Gisborne. The U.S.'S. Co.’s Squall is due this morning from Tologa Bay and Auckland with general cargo. The U.S.'S. Co.’s Haupiri is due from South to-morrow morning, and leaves later for Coast .ports and Auckland. Present arrangements are for the Tuatea to leave the wharf with outward passengers at noon. The U.S.Si Co.’s Flora,, at present undergoing overhaul at Port Chalmers, will replace the s.s. Haupiri in the Auckland-East Coast running • about the end of the .present month. The U.S.'S. Co.’s Wan aka is 'due here about Friday on her way from Southern ports to Auckland. The Canterbury Shipping Co.’s' s.s. Ripple is due early from Westport with timber for Messrs Peacocke and Co. •The schooner Awanui is overdue from Coast ports and Auckland, and may arrive at any hour. The auxiliary schooner Ivaeo timed to deave Auckland for Coast ports and Gisborne at; the. end of the • week. „ . • , The U.S.S. Co.’s Tuatea will, be placed on the slip this'morning for her .annual overhaul, and will be oft ana in in time .f or the mid-week steamers. Mr. ißi-rkett, the U.fe.S. Co. s superintendent of repairs, who arrived im Gisborne on Saturday evening, will superintend the work. : T"] lo Tyser liner N.iw/iru is expected to load here on the 10th November and will arrive Home in tune for the January sales. , . The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s Rakaia ns due here about the 9th November to - load wool, and-is timed to catch the January sales. _ The N.Z. Slopping Co.’s. R.M.S. Tongariro arrived, at. Monte Video on Friday .■ The following passengers for 'Gisborne are aboard the s.s. Karamea, due at Dunedin from London on October 22nd: Misses A. Davis, - C. Gn-1-ligan, (Mesdames Galiligam, Cti'shme, Messx’s-,W. Oushine, T. Gadligan, J. Hopkins, and H. Sutton. The triple-screw steamer Orari.is now being completed- at Dumbarton for the New Zealand .Shipping Company, and should leave shortly on her maiden voyage to New Zealand. The first Oran owned by the company was a little clipper ship, which made many fast trips between Now Zealand and London.
