Co.’s Talune arrived from South yesterday morning and sailed again for Auckland during the forenoon. Th.e U.S.S. Co.’s Tirawera arrived : from Auckland at 6.30 p.m. yesterday, having left that port later than usual this trip. She resumed her trio South before midnight. The three-masted auxiliary scow Zlngara arrived f yesterda'y morning from Ngungura. She left the latter port on Fridav last and experienced favorable weather until she- ran into the southerly gale on Monday-night. She had got as far as Tuahine Point, and from here was blown back up the coast' abreast of Tologa. AVhen the wind moderated she recommenced her trip southward, and with the help of her engines reached the Bay yesterday morning. Her engines were not powerful enough to bring her up to the wharf against the swiftly-flowing ebb tide, and the services of a tug were called into requisition: The Zingara brought 190.000 ft of timber for the Alpha sawmills. ‘ The Huddart-Parker Co.’s'A r ictoria having been delayed south owing to the Labor Dav holiday, will not arrive here until late on Saturday afternoon./ She will sail for Auckland later in the evening. . Captain “Skinner reports as follows: —“Sailed from Gisborne on Sunday, 4th inst., but returned the same day. On Monday. at 1 a.m.,. we.- sailed again, and finished at Loisel’s at/TO a.nf.: arrived at Tologa at noon and sailed again at 3 p.m.; landed at Kaiau the some evening, and arrived Tokomaru Bay the same night. On Tuesday we finished Tokomaru and AVai'piro, and arrived at Tuparoa on AVednesday: landed at-Tuparoa and Port Awanui and arrived at Te Araroa on Thursday. Landed at Te Araroa and Hide’s Bay, and arrived at Orete at 9 p.m. on Friday; finished three places on Saturday, and finished four places and arrived at Li tele Awanui on Sunday. Sailed at noon for Auckland, with strong head winds, till our arrival this morning at 9 a.m. AA’e had a full cargo and six passengers.”
