BUSINESS NOTES.
Messrs Miller and Craig will conduct a clearing sale of furniture and household effects on account and at the residence of Mr. J. Mackrell, corner Carnarvon Street and Palmerston Road. A reward is offered for the return to Air. AV. Clapp, Qrmond, of ahrow-n mare, branded A.P. on off shoulder. A lad is required for a station, and also a male cook who can bake. A man to milk, garden, etc., is required for a station. Messrs J. Peckover and Co. have 650 acres sheep country (Maori lease) at Tologa Bay for immediate sale. Airs. Stephenson will open tho (Poverty Bay tea and luncheon rooms on AVednesday next. The winning names for the September “Wyandotte” Limerick competition are published elsewhere. Tho Limerick which gained tho £3 prize is also given. Alcssrs AA T m. Pcttio and Co., Ltd., have now opened up the whole of ■their season’s importations for the gentlemen’s department. Air. AA r . 11. Clarkson s their buyer, seems to have spared oio pains in making the stock replete with everything desirable for men’s; wear. Specially worthy, of mention are tlie hats, ties, shirts, and fancy vests. Tlieir stock of these goods is about the best they have ever held.
