TE RATA v. COUNTRY LADIES,

On Victoria Domain yesterday afternoon, the Rata Ladies’ Club met a team of ladies front the country, anil after a rather poor game tho Ratas were victorious by 7 goals to 2. Tlie local ladies were strongly represented, but tlie visitors were weak, and: could only muster seven players. They were, however, reinforced by one or two of the Rata ladies who volunteered to assist them. Mr. O. Ik. Olsen refereed the. gamo. At the conclusion of the match, tlie ladies assembled, and Miss DeLautour, on bohall of tho Hat a ladies, presented 13. Goltc with a silvei jewel casket as an appreciation ol her services :-s secretary to flic club.
