At the plain and fancy, dress and poster ball to be held in His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday evening next, the ‘following gentlemen have been appointed 'to carry out the duties of M-C.’s: Messrs Sawyer, Miller, Fletcher,- McPherson, and Dunfoy. The four prizes, which are on exhibition in Mr. J. H. Waclc’s window, are to be given to the best-dressed lady and gentleman in fancy dress and poster. The decision will be arrived at by a ballot of the spectators in the dress circle. Perhaps she’s on the railway! Perhaps she’s on the seal Perhaps she’ll go To Jericho, Perhaps she will! Perhaps she won’t But if she does, or if she don’t, I’m glad that I presented to her A bottle of Wood’s Great Peppermint Cure.
