Discharging operations were being carried out from the s.s. Eegidus vestcrdav, and she was expected to sail at about 1 o’clock this morning for Westport. . The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived from Tologa Bay and Auckland yesterday afternoon. Owing to a fieavy swell she was unable to work lologa on her way down, and will land the overcarried cargo on tlio return tr The Huddart-Pai'ker Co.’s Victoria is duo from Auckland to-morrow afternoon', and sails South in the evening. The U.S.S. Co.’s Monowai arrives from South to-morrow morning, and proceeds to Auckland during the forenoon. . , The U.S.S. Co.’s Moana. owing to being delayed-in the South, will not arrive here until Saturday evening, and will probably leave for Auckland at night. Messrs Richardson and Co. s I tinny arrives tine morning from Napier with general cargo. The U.S.S. Co.’s Hunpiri is duo here to-morrow morning from Greymouth and Napier to take up her usual running between Auckland, Coast ports, and Gisborne. The Union S.S. Co.’s Rakanoa is due to leave Auckland to-day with a cargo of coal from Newcastle for Gisborne and Napier. The Union S.S. Co.’s Wanakn was due to load at Bluff yesterday, Oamaru Wednesday, Timarn Thursday, and is expected to arrive here on her way to Auckland next Monday. The British India Company’s steamer Itaura, which arrived at Auckland on Fridab morning from Calcutta, steamed 6709 miles with only.one stoppage of half an hour. The brief stow was owing to a bearing becoming hot. The Itaura came via the West Australian route, and would have been in Auckland nearly six days earlier had the vessel not encountered a heavy gale after crossing the equator. She is manned with a crew of 94 all told, comprising 81 Asiatics and 12 Europeans. The master, officers, and engineers form the little group of Europeans, and the remainder of the crew are Mohammedans, excepting the carpenter, who iis a . Chinaman. The Itaura was built nine years ago by Wm. Denny and Bros., Dumbarton, builders of many of the Union Company’s boats. BY TELEGRAPH. SYDNEY, Sept. 7.
