The Department of Industries and Commerce has received through its Sydney agency particulars of tenders invited for the supply of potatoes and onions to the American army stationed at the Phillipincs. It is estimated that 600,0001bs of_ potatoes and 120,0001bs of onions will be required each month. Tenders, which have to be rendered in triplicate, close at Manila, Phillipine Islands, at II a.m. on the 17th inst.
