CO-OPERATIVE BAKERY.

A GENERAL MEETING

A general meeting of the Civil Sorvico and Citizens’ Co-operative Society was hold in Toivnley’s Hull last night, Mr. 0. E. Lewis occupying the chair. The mooting was culled, the chairman explained, for the purpose of passing the rules of the association, which had already boon revised by Mr. E. H. Mann, solicitor. Tlie secretary read the minutes and advertisement calling the meeting. After being introduced by the chairman, Air. Mann addressed tho meeting, anil congratulated the members on the fact of their decision to register tho Society under “The Industrial and Provident Societies Act, L 877.” ILe thought it much more in accordance with co-operation that such a.method should he adopted. The rules were read through, and ai Lcrwards, on the, motion of Mr. Turner, seconded by Air. Hanger, passed with one or two additions. - Alossrs AY. It. Clarkson and Pavitt woro added to the directorate, making a total of sev. n on the Board. Messrs C. P. Davies and 11. M. Porter were elected auditors. 'J'ho meeting also decided that a numlier of canvassers bo appointed to obtain shareholders.

The meeting closed with a vote of ;hanks to the chairman.
