[Passs Association.] THE OPPOSITION AT PAHIATUA. PAH lATU A, September 1. .Messrs Massey and J. Allen were recorded .an enthusiastic reception at the Olympic Theatre last night. The building was crowded, many having come a long distance to bo present. Both speakers dealt generally with the policy and .administration of the Government, which they condemned as being inimical to the interests of the country. Both speeches were punctuated with frequest bursts of applause, and at the close of the meeting Messrs Massey and Allen were heartily cheered. WELLINGTON SUBURBS SEAT. WELLINGTON, September 1. Mr. J. R. Luke, a candidate for the .new suburbs seat in the House of Representatives, opened his campaign last night. He is a supporter of tlie Government. He was given a vote of thanks and confidence. THE GERALDINE SEAT. TIMARU, September l. ; Mr. W. H. Williams, late Crown lands ranger at South Canterbury, announces himself as a candidate for the Geraldine electorate at the forthcoming general election..
