The Union Company’s barque Loch Lomond was thirty-seven days out (on Saturday) froirf Newcastle to Lyttelton. That period (says the “Lyttelton Times”) is not by any means the longest occupied by a sailing vessel between Newcastle and New Zealand. About twonty-six years ago a 'barque, inappropriately named the Speedwell, took forty days to go from Newcastle t 0 Kaipara.
