MR. McLACHLAN IN A CRITICAL CONDITION. [Phebs Association.J AUCKLAND, August 14. Mr. John McLachlan, M.P. for Ashburton, who came to Auckland bytlio Parliamentary train last Saturday evening to participate in tho welcome to the American fleet, has since, his arrival been seriously ill, and now lies in a critical condition at a hospital suffering from pneumonia. Inquiries m ide this evening elicited ihe information that the condition Ofr the member for'"Ashburton was unchanged.
