SYDNEY, August 14. Arrived —Wimmera (2.30 p.m.). She made an unavailing search for the s.s. Hawea, via Lord Howe Island, passing the island on Thursday morning. NEWCASTLE, August 14. Sailed—Yeddo, for Auckland. SYDNEY, August 14. Arrived —Stephanotis, from Dunedin. /

. WELLINGTON, August 14. Sailed —Ulimaroa (5.45 p.m.), for Sydney. WHANGAREI, August 14. All efforts to refloat the barque Polly, timber laden for Australian ports, which grounded below the railway wharf a week ago. have failed. The case is considered hopeless, as the vessel is lying on .her side, with “ft of water in her hold, and her back is apparently broken. ■
