Mr. Bryan, addressing a gathering of IS,UUU at Lincoln, Nebraska, said bo accepted nomination for tho Presidency. He field tfie Republicans responsible for the abuses practised by commercial corporations, because they applied opiates instead of using the surgeon’s kniio. Personally ho favored a. tariff for revenue purposes only. Ho advocated tho election oi Senators by a direct vote of tho people, and declared that tho oversliadowing issuo of tho present, election was: Shall tho peoplo rule? 'l'he speech was received with great enthusiasm.
