[Press Association.]
AUCKLAND, August 11. Ilio s.s. Aeon, of the Australian Mail Lino, is making a very long passage from San Francisco to Auckland, via Apia. The average trip of the steamers of tins lino is about 25 days, and the Aeon is now 35 days out, a fact which is causing some uneasiness in shipping circles, as. it is fea red that an accident may' have befallen the vessel, which holds the record of the lino between ’Frisco and this port.
