Half-dosing the eyes, one might almost imagine Mrs. Besant to bo lv pope or a cardinal, in her long picturesque robes of fmo wool and real lace her diamond chain and order, aini with her strong featured face set, in the short grey hair (says the “Wellington Post”). She is a marvellous orator, filling the great hall with no effort with the music of her voice and using the clioisest and yet the simplest of words. Verv little Gesticulation is employed by'Mrs. Pesant but the sweep of the “angel” sleeve’ as .the right arm outstretches, is extromely effective. She was listened to with intense interest. Indeed, one poor man who ventured a whispered remark to his neighhor, was glared at until he must have wished lie had gone to his club instead. A slight irritation in the throat may lead to a hacking cough. Zymole Irokeys stop at; they sooth© the irritatioia apd strengthen the throat.
