Some interesting information relating to the nursing profession came out during u case at the Auckland Magistrate’s Court. Mr Kettle brought i tin the question of keeping charts, as is done in the public hospitals. The doctors in the case said that it ivas not hy onv means usual to keep these charts in private cases. Most of the maternity nurses registered by the Government, who ihad not received a hospital training, could not take a temperature, and in some cases could not read the pw’se. “Do the nurses keep a record i , e S.M. of Dr King. later on. ‘ They re supposed to,” end the doctor. But [ do they?” insisted- the magistrate. , “Ko, they don’t!” replied Pr King.
