MELBOURNE, August 1. Australian Hurdle Race, 3 1 miles. —Dagoba 9.11 1, Charlemagne 9.0 2, Lady Quiz 10.11 3. All acceptors started. Ataahua led into the straight and Charlemagne and Quiz along the back.. At tlie turn Ataahua was 15 lengths from Dagoba, but tlie Now Zealand horse fell at the second lasthurdle. Dagoba led into the straight L 0 lengblis from Charlemagne, and won by 3 lengths, 8 lengths between second and third. Time, Ginin 40-J sec.
