SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S LOAN. THE LATE AGENT-GENERAL. United Press Association, Copyright (Received August 2, 4.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 1. Australian stocks rose 1 per cent on Friday afternoon on the -announcement that the new loan would be issued through the usual chanflels. The issue is not expected till after the summer holidays. The price is undecided till then. The underwriting of the entire amount of the loan was completed on Friday. Mr. Jenkins denies .the city rumor that strained relations between himself and Premier Price induced him to go to Lisbon, and that Air. Price, in the meantime, arranged the loan with Lloyd’s Bank. Mr. Jenkins declares that their relations were most; harmonious, especially on finance, as is shown by a letter from Mr. Price at Florence, referring to Mr. Price’s .official telegrams to the Treasurer.
