GISBORNE CLUB. The annual mooting of the CSisbonio Bowling Club will bo liokl_ jin tho Farmers’ Club Rooms at i -30 this evening, when tho annual report and balance-shoot will bo presented. Tho latter shows a profit of £94 Lis Gd, ns well as a profit of £SO on building society shares taken up during tho your. Tho report states that tho greon, buildings, and surroundings are in first-class order, and refers to tho success of tho club during tho voar in, tho Auckland tournament, Napier Carnival, and homo matches. Reference is also made to tho visit of the Dominion team of bowlers during the season. Tho club has had a most successful season, and at present has a roll of sixty active and forty honorary members. Regret is expressed that, owing to the wot weather, matches were unable to be arranged for tho trophies presented by Air. W, Pettio, president "of the club, and Messrs L. D. Nathan and Co. Tho sorrow of tho committee is recorded nt, tho death of Mr. J. Wallace, who had boon an active member of tho club for many years. Votes of thanks aro recorded to those who provided seats and afternoon tea during tho year, and nlso to tho auditor and tho press.
