While many people are calling for the prohibition of all external agencies (such as verniers, etc.) in connection with rifle-shooting by volunteers, the Minister for Defence points out that the Imperial Government has now made the new rifles recently issued with fixed verniers, as it recognises the utility of the appliances, and Germany and Japan, who are training men to act as sharpshooters in the firing-line, give their men orthoptics to increase their accuracy of aim. Zymble Trokeys are just the thing for hoarseness. They clear the throat and soothe the irritated membrane. Absolutely harmless.
NO-LICENSE CAMPAIGN. IF NO-LICENSE DOES NOT DEDUCE DRINKING, WHY IS THE TRADE SO ANXIOUS TO PREVENT IT BEING CARRIED? IF MORE LIQUOR, OR AS MUCH LIQUOR, IS SOLD UNDER PROHIBITION, WHY DO BREWERY SHARES GO DOWN WHEN NO-LICENSE LOOMS NEAR? NO-LICENSE DOES NOT REALLY HELP FORWARD TEMPERANCE, HOW IS IT THAT IN EVERY NOLICENSE AREA THE CONVICTIONS FOR DRUNKENNESS HAVE FALLEN OFF ENORMOUSLY ? IF NO-LICENSE IS A FAILURE, HOW IS IT SO MANY INTELLIGENT AND DISINTERESTED PEOPLE VOTE FOR IT?
