Bowling, Cierk of the Court, deposed that Connelly’s demeanor in the witness box on occasions was similar to that of a person telling wilful lies. He appeared to be on his guard all tho time. Hugh' Duncan, who found Bourke in a dying condition, said his dog barked as it some other person besides Bourke was in the shed. The Court adjourned titll Monday, when prisoners Andersen and Halhnen will give evidence. Counsel, in his opening remarks, said a woman had come forward and made a statement to the Clerk of the Court, directly implicating Connelly alone in the assault on Bourke
