Institute) are qllmving with ■interest the career of Mr. Ernest Clntty, 8.A., who was .admitted to iJio Institute in 1892 and in the course of time secured various university successes, graduatinc ns B.A. in j 905. lie obtained a scholarship at St. John’s Collegia Tamaki in 1907, and/ was in residence thcro nnf. year. T» December be sat for grades 1 and 2 in the examinations bold by the Board of Theological Studies, in grade 1 he obtained a second-class (.missing the first by 4 marks only), and in. grade 2 a firstclass. 'Jn oiicJi of llklso grades Jjo stood second in the Dominion, and was awarded an exhibition of £2O. His success will be as gratifying to the contributors in general as to Mr. CJiitty and thosex more ,intimateljy oonnected with the Institute. He is •now reading for the M.A. degree and grade 3 in theological studies.
