GISBORNE CLUB. FINAL HANDICAP FOLKS. There was a large muster of members and visitors at .the Gisborno Club’s green yesterday, including several of the Turanganui Club players. The green was playing in splendid order, and every available rink was occupied. A number of enjoyable practice games were played, but chief interest naturally centred in the final of the Handicap Fours competition, between Williams. O'.Meara. Corson. and Hennessy (skip) and Maekr.il. Paltridge, Hookey and Simson (ski])). The former received a handicap of 2, and Siiiisoii scored first, hut on the 3th head Hennessy led by oto I. The same rink obtained 7 on the Oth head, thus leading bv 13—4. Simson and his men played well now, and on the 13th head were 13 to Hennessy's 13. It was a good “go” from this point to the, finish, and on tfeo 20th head the scores were 20—19, with Hennossy's team in the lend. On the filial head "Simson drew level, hut on the deciding head Hennessy scored 2 mil won the match amidst great excitement. It was a really good contest, and the winners thoroughly deserved their victory for their consistent play.
