Margaret Gardener has been centonced at the Manchester Assizes to „ twelve months imprisonment in cone' nection with tho train robber)-. [On May 19th a lady and gentlomau of Manchester, about to start for Liverpool,deposited in tho guard’s van four packages.. The guard himself did not see them deposited. Shortly after another lady informed the guard-that she had been, compelled to postpone her journey, and obtained from him the largest of the four packagos, containing £20,000 worth of securities and , jewollory. Tho owners discovered tho loss at Warrington. A woman was arrested at Liverpool in possession of tho package. Sho declined to roVcal her identity.]
