THE NEW ZEALAND ALLIANCE, [Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 17. Representatives of the local NoLicense Councils in each electorate in the Dominion met at Wellington this morning. Mr. A. S. Adams, president of the New Zealand Alii—l ance, occupied the chair, and welcomed the delegates. He cougratu-. lated them on the position of the nolicense cause. The Alliance, he said, was formed 22 years ago by the late Sir IV. Fox, who, at great personal expense and expenditure of energy, delivered addresses in various towns and cities. Since then no-license - had advanced by leaps and bounds. No-liceuse had been carried by Mataura, Clutha, Invercargill, Grey Lynn and Oaniarii, and for a short time had been in operation in Newton and Port Chalmers. The majoritv of the electors in New Zealand were with tlie no-license party, and it was certain, that the no-license vote would grow numerically. He urged that there should be lie laxity of effort until the Dominion was freed from the liquor traffic. The annual report was adopted.
