United Press Association —Copyright LONDON, June .15. •The “Daily Chronicle,” referring to tlie suffragettes’ procession, states: •‘No statesman cm ignore a demand so widely diffused and so .persistently and earnestly expressed.” The “Morning Post” states: “Owing women votes will not effect any great political change. It may he a good educational measure, and a symbol of salutary change of place and thought.” The “Standard” states:“The country is not prepared for the general enfranchisement of all grown-up persons, but it might admit a, million from quarters highly competent and highly desirable.” The “Daily Express’” states: “Limited women’s franchise would be good, hut an unlimited one would cause dismay.”
