LIEUT. EVANS TO TAKE CHARGE

Press Association, CHRISTCHURCH, Juno 11. Mr. J. J. Kinsey, the official representative in New Zealand of tho British Antarctic expedition of 1907, states that he has crime to ail arrangement with Sir Jns. Mills by which ono of tho Union Go.’s officers will take command of tho Nimrod on her next voyage, to tho Antarctic in December next. The officer selected for this duty is Lieut. F. P. Evans, R.N.R. It will be remembered that Lieut. Evans, of tho Ivoonya, had chargo of the towing arrangements on tne Nimrod’s trip south in January last.
