WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10. (Before Messrs It. Johnston and H. Lewis, J.P.s) DRUNKENNESS. For a second offence, -within a period of six' months, Jolin "White alias O’Keefe was convicted and fined £1 with costs 2s, in default 4 days’ imprisonment. James McGee, for a similar offence was fined 5s and 2s costs, or 24 hours’ imprisonment. ILLEGALLY ON PREMISES. James. McGee pleaded guilty to a further charge of having unlawfully been on the premises of the Strand Cafe early yesterday morning. William Henry Douglas stated that accused had been previously warned off his premises on account of his intemperate habits. He had also been refused admittance to the liouso at 11 p.m. the previous evening, but subsequently witness found him asleep in the sitting room. Accused was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment with hard labor.
