THE WORLD’S HIGHEST-PRICED SHEEP.
DURING THE PAST TEN YEARS. The' following list of the highestpriced sheep sold within tho last ten years will no doubt be of the greatest possible interest to flock-owners throughout New Zealand, viz.:— _ (1) Lincoln ram, bred by Mr. li. Dudding, England, sold 1898; price, 1000 guineas. (2) (Lincoln ram, bred by Mr. H. V Dudding, England, sold 1900; price, 1000 guineas. (3) Lincoln .rani, bred by Mr. .11, Dudding, England, 6old 1906; price, 1450 guineas. (4) I Lincoln ram, bred by Mr. H. Dudding, England, sold 1907; price, 900 guineas. (5) Merino ram, Donald Dinnie, bred by Mr. Thos. Millear, N.S.W., sold 1907 ; price, 1200 guineas. . (C) Merino ram, Royal Dream, bred by Mr. J. S. Horsfall, N.S.AV., sold 1907; price, 1000 guineas. In view of the oft-repeated claims made by certain interested sheep dip manufacturers to their particular preparations being used on the most valuable sheep in the world, we confidently submit the above list, which includes what are absolutely the most valuable sheep living to-day, so far as such value has been- ascertained by actual sales made, and it is surely more than a mere coincidence to find the most renowned sheep-owners in England and Australasia regular users of Quibell’s Dips on their highclass flocks, and testifying in the most unqualified terms to the benefits derived from the use of these splendid preparations. Is it reasonable to suppose that such world-famous flockmasters as Messrs Dudding, Horsfall, and'Millear would use Quibell’s Dip if money could buy a better preparation ? Let every unprejudiced slieepowncr answer this question for himself.
