A conference of members' of Hogpital and Charitable Aid Boards representing almost every part ol •turn Dominion began to-day to consider the Government Bill to be introduced during the coining session ol PnrlvaHon. G. Fowhls opened the conference, and explained the measure, stating that, no doubt some ol the decision of the conference would be embodied in ilhe Bill. Dr. Valintino, Inspector-General of Hospitals and Charitable Aid, delivereri an address, sketching what he conceived to ho the ideal system. On the motion of Mr. C. M. Lnke (Wellington Hospital Trustees), it was ■resolved, bv 63 votes to I, that the functions of hospitals and charitable aid bo administered by one board. After some discussion, it was agreed on the motion of Mr. Bellringer (Taranaki) that, the present mode of election die adhered to. The conference will resume to-mor-row.
