Sir Walter Ilillier, Professor of Chiiiese at King’s College, London, has been appointed adviser to the Chinese Government. . . [Sir Walter Caine Hillier was Adviser to Military Authorities in China in 1900. He is the son of the late Consul at Bangkok, and was born at Hong Kong in 1849. He is-a famous Chineso scholar, and has previously held various appointments under the Chineso Government. He has been Professor at 'King’s College since 1904.]
