PRE-SESSIONAL ADDRESS.
THE HON. J. A. AIILLAR. (Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Jun 1. Th Hon. J. A. Alillar addressed a meeting of' life constituents in the Garrison Hall to-night. There was a large attendance. The Minister -reviewed the legislation of tnM past session, and defended the' administration in connection with the -Blackball strike. He .indicated that legislation providing for the abolition of imprisonment for breaches of the Arbitration Act would be introduced, -and that provision would be made for giving all sections of the community, including firm laborers, -an opportunity of coming under the scope of tho Arbitration Act. The Minister was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence, and confidence in the Ministry was also passed.
The Prime Alinister also spoke, making special reference to the desire of the Government to promote the objects thjt were iu the interests of he people as a whole, and to introd uco legislation to provide that by fair and proper methods members should represent the majority of the it constituents.
