AIDING AND ABETTING.
TEST CASE ABANDONED. RESOLUTION BY EMPLOYERS’ ASSOCIATION. (Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 15. At a meeting of tho Otago Employers’ Association to-day, a telegram was received from the secretary of tho Advisory Board of tho Employers’ Federation in Wellington, suggesting that as the Minister of Labor had undertaken to bring in amended legislation for tlio purposo of preventing the aiding and abetting of strikes, tho Federation should refrain from making a test caso in the meantime. After a full discussion, tho following resolution was carried, and will be forwarded to tho Federation; “That tho Minister’s assurance ho accepted, and that tho Federation refrain from taking tho proposed proceedings on the understanding that, in the event of adequato legislation not being passed, anil another strike occurring, the Government, will tako proceedings to test the existing law against tho moil taking part in such strikes and the unions or individuals contributing money to enable them to carry on strikes or for tho relieving of their families.”
