ELECTORS OF COOK AND WAIAPU COUNTIES. T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN,— I have much pleasure in offering mj' services for the vacant seat on the Gisborne Harbor Board. I have a strong belief in the future of the East Coast and its immense jwssibilities. I have noted with satisfaction the expansion of our trade-and the increase of our products, and few things would give me greater pleasure than seeing that rapid expansion continued even at a greater rate than hitherto. To aid this development, our shipping facilities must be improved and more frequent communication with outside parts must bo sought. As a member of the Board for many years, my views on harbor matters generally no doubt are well known to you. Suffice it to say now that if elected I shall see that Mr. Marchant’s outer harbor scheme with all available information relating thereto is placed before the ratepayers at as early a date as possible. I am, Yours faithfully. JOHN TOWNLEY.
