Miss Winter, the Ameer’s lady doctor, interviewed in London, explains that Habibullali Khan is distinctly friendly to the English but is unable to strongly repress tribesmen displaying anti-English proclivities, owing to plots against his brother, Sir dab Nas Mullah. Miss Winter is confident that the Ameer absolutely favors an Anglb-ißussiah agreement, but has not signed it owing to outsido pressure.
