MUTINOUS SAILORS.
SENTENCED. TO IMPRISONMENT. THE CAPTAIN’S EXPLANATION. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Alay, 6. Advices from Dargarville state that the Ilelga mutineers all pleaded guilty, and all declined to rejoin the ship. They were each sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. The captain stated that he was forward_ on Alonday night, and when lie tried to go aft was pushed back, and was similarly treated when he attempted to leave the vessel by the gangway. To attract the attention of the police on shore, he then fired a revolver perpendicularly in the air. Tho men alleged that the firing was unnecessary, and said they were 'afraid the captain might use the revolver without sufficient cause when on the high seas.
